Relay Power’s mission is to offer clean energy to everyone! Relay has developed a propriety process that will help identify the right clean energy solution for each individual customer. The Clean Energy Consultant position is a customer engagement and sales role for the Outside Sales division. A Clean Energy Consultant is Relay Power’s main point of contact for customers interested in clean energy, creating the initial interest, recommending the solution, and moving the customer to action. Successful candidates must have stellar communication skills, attention to detail, and interest in following lead process management. The Consultant will directly market to residences to initiate contact, and will use Salesforce for lead management. The Consultant will also work with towns, business, non-profits to build a referring network of partners.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the all clean energy offers.
  • Initiate contact via canvassing and other direct marketing.
  • Contact towns, business, non-profits to partner on developing clean energy programs
  • Communicate professionally, intelligently and persuasively to engage customers on the value and benefits of our comprehensive clean energy product offering.
  • Close the sale with required documents completed.
  • Manage time effectively to hit monthly sales targets.

 

Must-Haves

  • Previous sales experience. Proven success in home solar sales a plus.
  • Proven track record of team development and management
  • Strong oral and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely to others.
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce a plus) and following a sales process
  • Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to explore and implement new solutions
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the vision of Relay Power
